Dubai: Gulf News' Editorial Committee has decided to endorse the Democratic candidate Barack Obama as President of the United States.
“His promise of change defined the entire presidential election campaign, which gives people around the world hope the next US administration is set to undo the great damage done by the Bush administration to America's image and its relations with the rest of the world, especially the Middle East, over the past eight years,'' says a Gulf News editorial to be published on Monday.
Obama's pledge of political engagement and dialogue “even with America's “enemies'' represents a dramatic and welcome change from the military means to resolve political differences adopted by the Bush administration, the editorial says.
