Dubai Press Club wins media creativity award
Recognised for contributions in Arab world.
Dubai/Beirut: Beirut-based Arab Thought Foundation, an independent, non-governmental and international foundation, honoured Dubai Press Club (DPC) with the Media Creativity Awards in recognition of its decade-long contribution in developing Arab media.
Mariam Bin Fahd, Executive Director, DPC, received the award from Khalid Al Faisal, Emir of Makkah, who is also the foundation's president, and Sa'ad Al Hariri, Lebanese Prime Minister.
Held in Beirut, the fourth edition of the Arab Creativity Awards drew a large number of the region's leading media persons.
Vision
Mariam said: "This award validates the vision of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai.
"The Dubai Press Club was established under his directive in 1999.
Dubai Press Club is the General Secretariat of the Arab Journalism Award, the region's most coveted recognition for journalistic excellence.
