Dubai.: Dubai Police are looking for the parents of an undentified three-month-old baby girl who was found abandoned at Global Village on Thursday night, police said yesterday.

Brigadier Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, head of Criminal and Investigation Department (CID) at Dubai police said the baby girl looks an Asian national.

“The baby was in very miserable situation and she was left in her pram near one of the gates,” Brigadier Al Mansouri said.

Brigadier Al Mansouri said an Emirati woman spotted the baby girl near the main gate of the park. The woman thought that the baby’s parents had lost the baby so she started searching for them before handing the baby to the Al Ameen police service of the theme park.

Police, however, confirmed that the baby girl had been abandoned by her parents. “The girl was left in her place for more than an hour before the woman found her,” he said.

Brigadier Al Mansouri said the baby was very hungry and she kept crying all the time. He said that police waited till 1am when Global Village closed its door but no one asked about the baby.

The baby’s fingerprints were taken for investigation. The baby was later taken to Latifa Hospital for medical check up.

Dubai Police have sent the baby’s descriptions to police departments all over the country.

“Few similar incidents happened previously in the Global Village when people abandoned their children over there,” police said. “We are investigating the case in order to find the child’s parents.”

Police said the public can contact Al Ameen police service at the Global Village to report lost children.

“Public can approach Al Ameen Room at the Global village where any lost child will be taken care off till the police find the parents,” police said.
