Dubai: If there’s anyone in Dubai who knows what luck means, it’s Naveen Manghnani. He won $1 million (Dh3.67 million) in the Dubai Duty Free (DDF) Millennium Millionaire promotion on Tuesday — but it’s not the first time he’s won the draw.

Manghnani, 43, a Dubai-based Singaporean national, became the 143rd winner of the DDF Millennium Millionaire promotion in Series 143 after his ticket was drawn at Concourse A, Dubai International Airport.

The businessman of Indian origin first won a prize of $2 million in the DDF Double Millionaire promotion Series 4 in April 2011. He was the second person of Indian origin to have won the Double Millionaire promotion which was launched in 2009.

Throughout DDF’s history, Manghnani is the third person to win its million-dollar promotions more than once. He bought his first luxury car ticket for DDF 19 years ago.

Manghnani was unavailable for comment at the time of going to press.

Colm McLoughlin, Executive Vice-Chairman of Dubai Duty Free, George Horan, President and Sinead Al Sibai, Vice President-Marketing conducted the draw.
