Dubai: The Living Statues group is drawing curious onlookers to Dubai’s City Walk area as part of Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) celebrations.

On the occasion of the 20th DSF anniversary edition, City Walk has organised a month of activities at the Enchanted Garden, which is offering visitors a leisure and entertainment experience.

Living Statues are dressed up like real statues, with the artists walking about the pathways and greeting families. For many visitors, the experience is a first of its kind and they are using the opportunity to capture the memory on their smartphones and cameras.

Shoppers can meet and click pictures with the Living Statues daily until February 1, at 4pm, 6pm and 8pm at the fountain and promenade area (except on Mondays). Other events at City Walk include a jazz and, bird cage, weekly draw for 22-carat gold flowers and many others.

The 20th DSF edition is organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM). The 32-day extravaganza runs under the theme “A Journey of Celebrations”, and offers more than 150 events, attractions, shopping opportunities and multiple winning options for visitors and residents.
