Abu Dhabi: The revenues of the Zakat Fund this year up to the end of August reached Dh 75.83 million, a 6 per cent increase compared to the same period last year.
According to the Secretary-General of the Fund Abdullah Bin Akeeda Al Muhairi, the Fund’s revenues in the same period last year reached Dh 71 million.
He attributed the increase to the strong support extended by President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces as well as the donors who entrusted the fund to dispense their zakat.
