Dubai: The UAE Government Leaders Programme in the Prime Minister’s Office has launched a new category, Creative Leadership, for young Emiratis in the government and private sector.

This will provide training at participants’ workplaces.

The new category will focus mainly on leadership development, strategic planning, communication, decision-making, project management and creativity.

The duration of the first batch of the programme will be from June 2014 to November 2015.

In order to qualify for the programme, candidates must have a university degree or equivalent from a recognised university and be 22 to 28 years old.

They must also have two to five years of work experience, and be proficient in Arabic and English, said Obaid Al Ketbi, director of the programme.

“The addition of the new category follows the directives of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to support and nurture national talents and build their leadership capabilities,” said Ohood Al Roumi, director-general of the Prime Minister’s Office.
