Abu Dhabi: A live telethon to collect funds to support Yemen raised Dh18 million thanks to the generosity of organisations and private citizens across the UAE. The telethon helped raised money for Yemen’s famine victims.

Sharjah: More than Dh30 million was raised during a live telethon conducted by Sharjah TV in aid of the victims of the drought in Somalia. The four-and-a-half-hour telethon was organised by Sharjah Media Corporation and Sharjah Charity on the instructions of His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.

Abu Dhabi: The Red Crescent Authority (RCA) telethon raised over Dh85 million in donations on Monday. The campaign, under the directives of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan was launched to raise donations and help the Pakistani people affected by floods, estimated to be around 23 million.

Dubai: A fundraising campaign for victims of Israel’s war in Lebanon raised Dh49 million in a 10-hour telethon organised by three UAE-based institutions. The telethon, which started at 3pm on Friday, was organised by Dubai Media Incorporated, the Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Humanitarian and Charitable Foundation and the UAE Red Crescent Authority.
