He was buried yesterday,

The victim was in the four wheel drive with two friends — one of them died in the crash while the second is in hospital with minor to moderate injuries.

The accident happened at around 4am on Al Nejemat Road, while travelling from Dubai to Fujairah.

Police officials said the vehicle, with a Sharjah number plate, hit the concrete barrier of the road causing the driver to lose control. The car then hit a lamp-post and rolled over four to five times.

The second victim man was identified as 28-year-old M.N. from Bahrain.

Recovering in hospital is Bahrain resident F.F., 28.

Lieutenant Colonel Hassin Saleem, Director of traffic investigation department at Fujairah police, called on motorists to pay attention to the road and drive within the speed limit.

Meanwhile Fujairah police have arrested an Emirati motorist suspected of being responsible for a hit and run accident that left an Emirati boy dead.

Twelve- year-old A.A.Q. was killed and his friend O.A.H., 15, seriously injured when a bus suddenly stopped on the Khor Fakkan-Fujairah Road on Thursday.

The two boys, on bikes, could not get out of the way and a car behind ploughed into them.

The driver fled the scene.

Police were able to identify the type of vehicle from the accident scene and yesterday (Saturday) arrested an Emirati man.

He has been taken into police custody and his car sent to a forensic laboratory in Abu Dhabi.

The man denies being involved in the incident.

Fujairah police are waiting for the results of the forensic report.
