Abu Dhabi: The Cultural and Media Centre for Shaikh Sultan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President's Representative and executive director of the centre, is organising a lecture on the rich life and professional experiences of two Emirati women achievers Monday.

Dr Rafee'a Gobash, the first in the UAE to receive a PhD degree in psychology, and Dr Najat Makki, an artist and holder of a PhD degree in coin inscriptions, will be the central personalities of the symposium.

The symposium titled ‘I'm an Emirati woman, and this is my experience,' is being held under the directives of Shaikh Sultan.

"The symposium is in line with Shaikh Sultan's supportive role to empower Emirati women within the comprehensive development directives of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan," said Habib Yousuf Al Sayegh, media consultant for Shaikh Sultan, in a statement on the occasion.

"Within these directives, and the UAE's great care for Emirati women and its citizens in general, the centre is working on providing events regarding public affairs to relay experience to the new generation to increase communication and interaction between national institutes and the society," he added.
