Dubai: The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has started the fourth cycle of its Neighbourhood Campaign to raise awareness on energy and water conservation. It includes field visits by DEWA experts to residential areas across Dubai. A specially-designed bus has been deployed for the visits. Conservation tips and free eco-friendly light bulbs and water-flow reducers will be distributed. Last year’s campaign saved 1.34m kilowatts of electricity, 14.5m gallons of water and Dh1.1m, and reduced 806 tons of carbon emission.
