Dibba Al Hosn: His Highness Dr. Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, Saturday opened the Water Canal project in Dibba Al Hosn.
The project, one of the vital tourism projects in the city, features a number of beautification works, Palm trees and seasonal flowers and green spaces for picnic and sports, as well as many other facilities.
The 960 metre-canal, with 30 metres in width and 6 metres in depth, was inaugurated in the presence of Shaikh Khalid Bin Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Urban Planning Council, and Abdullah Mohammad Al Owais, Chairman of the Department of Culture and Information, as well as other senior officials and a crowd of the city’s dignitaries and people.
Shaikh Sultan also attended a rowing race along the Corniche of Dibba Al Hosn with the participation of more than 6 boats.
