Sharjah: The Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority's office in Al Nasserya moved on Monday to its new premises next to Al Nasserya Park.
"The office has been updated with the latest equipment and all employees have been given customer service training," said Hamid Taher Al Haj, Director of Customer Service Department at Sewa.
Ladies counter
The timings for the Sewa office at Al Nasserya are from 7.30am to 8pm, and the cashier office is open from 7.30am to 10pm.
The Al Nasserya office currently offers its services to 17 areas and deals with 43,825 customers.
Al Haj said that customers are now able to process all the necessary work with one employee instead of visiting several ones as previously done.
He pointed out that a ladies' section is also available.
"Sewa has made many improvements for its customers in order to facilitate payments," said Al Haj.
He explained that payments can either be done through all Empost offices across the emirates with an extra service charge of Dh2, or can be made by using credit cards with a service charge of 1.3 per cent.
If customers pay with cash, then no extra service fee will be charged.
