School in Fujairah holds earthquake drill
A Fujairah high school on Monday held a earthquake drill in cooperation with Fujairah Civil Defence.
Fujairah: A Fujairah high school on Monday held a earthquake drill in cooperation with Fujairah Civil Defence.
The Mohammad Bin Hamad Al Sharqi High School held the drill as a precautionary measure in the light of recent earthquake activity witnessed on the east coast, officials at the school said.
The drill concentrated on dealing with a quake, removing damage risks from school property, evacuating school premises and following first aid and Civil Defence safety instructions.
Officials expressed satisfaction with the experiment, recording an evacuation time of 45 seconds.
