Sharjah: His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued emiri decree No.17 of 2014, pertaining to the reformation of the Sharjah Executive Council.
The decree states that the reformation of the Sharjah Executive Council will include the following departments and authorities: The Sharjah Ruler’s Court, the Housing Department, the Emiri Court, Suburbs and Villages Affairs Department, Central Department of Finance, Department of Civil Aviation, Department of Seaports and Customs, the Sharjah Education Council, Department of Public Works, Urban Planning Council, Department of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority, Department of Culture and Information, The Sharjah International Airport Authority, Department of Social Services, Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, Sharjah Health Authority (SHA), Department of Human Resources and Finance, Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, Department of Planning and Survey, Sharjah Media Corporation, Environment Agency and Natural Reserves, and Sharjah Department of Statistics and Community Development.
In a following decree No 18 for 2014, Shaikh Sultan named Sharjah Executive Council members. The decree stipulated that the council presided by Dr Shaikh Sultan shall include the following members:
