Postage stamp for Gaza relief
A child's painting will be made into a commemorative postage stamp to raise funds for buying medicines for the people of Gaza.

Dubai: A child's painting will be made into a commemorative postage stamp to raise funds for buying medicines for the people of Gaza.
The Emirates Post Holding Group will select one painting made by a child and make a commemorative postage stamp out of it as part of a campaign launched yesterday by the group to raise a minimum of Dh1 million to purchase medicines for the Gaza victims. The initiative will be undertaken in joint collaboration with Julphar Pharmaceuticals.
The Emirates Post Holding Group has printed donation coupons of Dh5 and Dh10 denominations, which will be sold from the 95 post offices across the country.
The initiative, 'Rescue Gaza', which will end on February 10, was launched to support the UAE Red Crescent's campaign, 'Provide them Relief'. A tent has been set up outside the Deira main post office where people can bring in their donations of food, clothes, blankets and medicines.
Yesterday, children gathered at the tent - which had a gallery of pictures published in newspapers, depicting the sufferings of the people of Gaza - to express their solidarity for the people of Gaza through their paintings.
"Everytime I watch the news on TV, the people of Gaza keep asking: 'Where are the Arabs?' So here I am today to let them know that I have heard their call and I am painting for them," said Ebrahim Al Zadjalie, an 11-year-old Emirati boy. Several UAE-based artists also made paintings for Gaza. These paintings will be auctioned and the proceeds will go towards providing medical aid to people of Gaza.
Barathi Annamalai, an Indian Artist, who donated blood for Gaza, said: "I felt the need to express my sorrow for what is happening in Gaza."
