Police warn fans of traffic offences
A big rally kicks off at 4pm from the World Trade Centre to celebrate the UAE's win at the Gulf Cup. The Dubai Police call on fans to avoid committing any traffic offences, as they endanger the participants in the rally and other road users.

- The rally will start at the World Trade Centre, it will head towards the Trade Centre roundabout and return to Shaikh Zayed Road.
Dubai: A big rally will kick off at 4pm today from the World Trade Centre to celebrate the UAE's win at the Gulf Cup.
Brigadier Eisa Aman, Acting Director of Dubai Police's Traffic department, had called the fans to avoid committing any traffic offences, as they endanger the participants in the rally and other road users.
He warned of driving on the hard shoulder, speeding and reckless driving, as these are common offences. He said that traffic police will accompany rally participants.
He also said that participants can join the rally at any stage, but they should join from the end as opposed to cutting off cars.
Major Eid Bin Thani, the Safety and Security Officer at the Global Village, said a field team has been formed to organise traffic movement at Global Village.
The team will close full parking areas and divert the movement to the outside to avoid traffic around Global Village. He called on the public to use gates 3, 4 and 6.
