Dubai: As part of its efforts to raise public awareness about the danger of abusing drugs, the Anti Narcotics Department at the Police in cooperation with the Emirati singer Rashid Al Majid is producing a song on the negative effects of drugs.

The song ‘Poison and tears’ will be ready soon
The song will not only highlight the dangers of drug abuse but also focuses on its negative effects on people, family and society.
The song has been titled “poisons and tears” which will be available in the market soon. The song has been written by poet Ali Obaid Al Muhairi and the music composer is Musa Mohammad.
Major General Abdul Jalil Mahdi Al Asmawi, Director General at the Department for Combating Drug said the song would help spread the message amongst public about dangers of using drugs.
“We want to curb drug abuse using all possible means to save for young people and the dedicated song is another way attract their attention to the danger of drug abuse,” he said.
