Dubai: The fashion house synonymous with Pakistani pop singer-turned-designer Junaid Jamshed is organising its first exhibition in the UAE aiming to highlight the benefits of lawn fabric and, in particular, stitched lawn.

The exhibition coincides with the opening of Junaid Jamshed's second outlet in the country at Sharjah's ZamZam market on Wednesday.

Jamshed, who was in the UAE to launch his new outlet, said: "Lawn is a distinct lightweight fabric known for its soothing properties which makes it the perfect wear for women during summer. You will be pleasantly surprised and delighted by our collection of exclusive range of summer lawn prints."

The exhibition, which concludes Saturday, showcases beautifully designed clothes inspired by nature, colours seasons and art forms creating style statements by drawing on traditional Indian motifs, intricate Gujarati embroidery, Kalaashi pattern inspired by the mountainous tribes of Kalaash, ancient Morrocan embroidery, Rajasthan's mirror work , Sindhi patchwork, aboriginal design, elaborate ornamentation in Baroque style, traditional folk motifs, Ikkat pattern and several more.

Growing presence in the country

Junaid Jamshed is a very popular and established brand in the markets of Pakistan and United Kingdom. Currently, the brand operates 40 outlets in Pakistan and four in the United Kingdom. It opened its first flagship boutique in Bur Dubai last August and opened its second outlet in Sharjah on Wednesday.
