Dubai: No deaths or injuries occurred when a truck caught fire on Emirates Road on Sunday.
Colonel Jamal Al Bannai, Acting Director of Dubai Traffic Police, said that the operations room received a call about a truck that had caught fire on Emirates Road in the Abu Dhabi direction, near Rimram, at around 5.45pm.
The cause of the fire is unclear and investigations are being carried out to determine the cause of the fire.
Col Al Bannai said that the truck driver said he heard a sound that sounded like a tyre exploding, so he got out of the truck and found that the truck was burning.
The truck was badly damaged.
