Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Environment and Water (MOEW) has declared that the New Zealand dairy products being imported into the UAE are germ-free.
Officials have also added that any contaminated products are not being allowed into the country and are being thoroughly checked by specialised teams.
Authorities have also been instructed not to allow any of the products containing Clostridium botulinum, bacteria which can cause botulism. These products have been banner whether they are being directly imported from New Zealand or indirectly through Australia, Indonesia, China, Vietnam or Saudia Arabia.
MOEW officials have stated that the public should be reassured that New Zealand products entering the UAE are safe for consuming.
