Dubai: Emirati world traveller Ebrahim Ahmad Sul-aiman will finally cross from Asia into Europe this week when he enters Bulgaria as part of his world motorcycle trip.

The motorcyclist has ridden across more than five countries since he began his journey on May 1.

"My journey will hopefully assist in spreading the word about the UAE and its humanitarian achievements, and encourage peaceful international relations, especially in these troubled times," Sulaiman said.

"I intended to call my journey ‘A Voyage for Love and Peace' in order to prove my intentions."

Sulaiman said he hoped to obtain a listing in the Guinness Book of World Records as the first Emirati traveller to cross Asia, Africa and Europe on a motorcycle. He also wants to spread a message of peace from the UAE. Sulaiman has met officials in Turkey and Lebanon along the way.

He sought to gain their support and provide them with copies of My Vision by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

He also gave them Sard Al That by His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.

"I'd like to communicate the UAE's leaders' great vision and achievements to other officials in the world by presenting them with these books," Sulaiman said.
