Dubai: A man who went missing 14 days ago from a hotel reception area reunited with his family on Monday night.
Sayed Mohammad Hussain Sayed Hashim Bani Hashim, a 67-year-old Iranian had gone missing from the hotel reception hall two weeks ago. Dubai Police had pleaded to the public to provide any available information on his whereabouts.
Hashim was reunited with his wife Zohra and daughter at the same hotel from which he went missing.
Zohra told Gulf News that her husband is fine, but has been in shock and is tired. She said when asked where he has been, he said he was wandering around and went to many places, but did not wish to talk further.
Tourism
Fatahullah Amanullah, the supervisor of the tourism company which brought the couple to Dubai for tourism, told Gulf News that he had received a phone call from Al Muraqabat Police Station at night to go and get Hashim.
"I went to the police station and was told that police found him. I took Hashim back to the hotel where his wife was waiting for him. Hashim looked tired and did not say a word," he said.
Zohra could not stop her tears as she saw her husband after 14 days, during which she knocked every door she thought would help her to find her husband.
Before finding Hashim, Zohra was standing outside Al Muraqabat Police Station where she had lodged the complaint of her missing husband.
"I felt sad and depressed and held on to every slight hope of finding my husband. I could not believe that my misery came to an end and my husband was found safe," she said.
The couple, who had come to Dubai for the first time, will return to their country on Saturday.
