Poet, horseman and avid sportsman, Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, is the person to look out for in 2009 as he assumes more responsibilities and continues to take part in sporting events and write poetry.

Poet, horseman and avid sportsman, Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, is the person to look out for in 2009 as he assumes more responsibilities and continues to take part in sporting events and write poetry.He was appointed as head of the executive council in February 2006 and as Crown Prince of Dubai last February.
Shaikh Hamdan was born on November 14, 1982 and studied at the Rashid Private School, Dubai and then moved on to the UK's Sandhurst Royal Military Academy.An accomplished horse rider, Shaikh Hamdan has won several awards at local and international endurance races, including the Gold Medal at the Asian Olympic Games.
