My newspaper
Congratulations to the whole team of Gulf News for celebrating 30 years. Gulf News, which is a very resourceful newspaper, has been an integral part of my life in the UAE. I vividly remember the days when we got complimentary copies in 1978.
The newspaper attracted me from day one, and I stopped reading other newspapers to switch over to Gulf News. Since then, it has been my constant companion. Gulf News may have changed hands but my loyalty for it never changed.
The bond has, in fact become stronger over the years because of its regular upgrades and updates. My day starts with the local news, along with my cup of tea. I come home in the afternoon to finish my morning reading and before going to sleep at night, I work on the crossword puzzles.
My weekend without Friday magazine would be like tea without sugar. My latest addiction is the Unwind section. I wish Gulf News many more successful years ahead.

Excellent job
My day would not be complete without reading Gulf News. I can find all the information I am looking for just by browsing the newspaper and the Classifieds section.
And whenever I feel homesick, all I have to do is browse the section for my country in Gulf News and instantly be updated with the latest information on what is happening there.

Good choice
I worked in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for 14 years before settling in Islamabad for another 14 years. I have since retired and was thinking about Dubai and what is happening in the city that is so attractive to many people.
Because of that, I found myself here on a visit. I purchased Gulf News at the gate to the mosque after Friday prayers and it was money well spent. While reading it at night, I had a good overview of what was happening in the world along with news about the nation, such as economic trends and job openings.
I also received information about what was happening in Pakistan. I plan on staying for a fortnight to explore this land of opportunities.

Family read
When I first came to Dubai to join my life partner in March 1990, we had another newspaper reaching our doorstep each day. I was job hunting at that time and my husband was also new to Dubai. As we were talking to one of our family friends at a weekend gathering in Safa Park, we were told to look for jobs through Gulf News.
The next morning I decided to go and buy the newspaper and was surprised to find that it was sold out. It was through an advertisement that was published in Gulf News that I was hired for a position in a company that I am currently employed in.
My husband started receiving Gulf News at his office and found it to be so useful that we subscribed to it and our entire family reads the newspaper. Congratulations on the achievements through the years.

Daily cartoons
This is my third visit to Dubai and I have been reading Gulf News every day since I arrived two and a half months ago. Even though I do not hold a degree in higher education, I believe that at 61 years, my experience has taught me a lot and what I like about Gulf News is that it adds to my knowledge whenever I read it.
However, I have a few suggestions that I think would improve your newspaper. Along with the daily editorials, the newspaper could also include a "thought of the day" that can be from any source and on any topic.
Also, Gulf News could publish a daily cartoon, which reflects the situations that are currently being discussed or debated in the country or region. At 30 years old, Gulf News still has the opportunity to improve itself further. I look forward to seeing how the newspaper will grow in the future.

Most popular
I have been reading Gulf News ever since I arrived in the UAE. I am an avid newspaper reader. One of the sections I like to browse is the Classifieds because it gives me an idea about the region's job market.
I am going back to India in November and am glad that the website can be accessed internationally, so I won't miss anything. I even told everyone in my hometown to use gulfnews.com because of the quality of information available.
