Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan yesterday received Leban-ese Prime Minister Sa'ad Al Hariri, who offered his condolences on the death of Shaikh Ahmad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Shaikh Khalifa also received President Ali Abdullah Saleh of Yemen. who called on him to offer his condolences. King Hamad Bin Eisa Al Khalifa of Bahrain also met Shaikh Khalifa. Also present during the visit of Saleh and his delegation were His Highness Shaikh Hamad Bin Mohammad Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah; Shaikh Sultan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President's Representative; and other Shaikhs and senior officials.
Also present with Shaikh Khalifa at Al Butain palace when King Hamad called on him in the afternoon were General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai; Shaikh Tahnoun Bin Mohammad Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Eastern Region, and Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nah-yan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region.
King Hamad had expressed his condolences on Thursday to Shaikh Khalifa.
Shaikh Khalifa also received Iraqi Vice-Presidents Dr Adel Abdul Mahdi and Tarek Al Hashimi besides former prime minister Eyad Allawi and an accompanying Iraqi delegation who offered their condolences.
Shaikh Khalifa also received Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei, Iranian presidential adviser who offered the condolences of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on the passing away of Shaikh Ahmad. Lieutenant General Ahmad Shuja Pasha, Pakistani minister of state, also offered condolences on behalf of his government.

Shaikh Khalifa also received condolences from Shaikh Sharif Shaikh Ahmad, President of Somalia, by telephone.
The Somali President expressed heartfelt and profound grief at the sad demise of Shaikh Ahmad
Shaikh Khalifa also received a cable expressing condolence from Syrian President Bashar Al Assad.
Syria's vice-president Farouq Al Shar'a also sent a cable to Shaikh Khalifa.
Ukrainian President Victor Yanukovych also sent a condolence cable to Shaikh Khalifa.
General Shaikh Mohammad and Shaikh Sultan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan also received condolences at Al Mushrif Palace. They accepted condolences from Haitham Bin Tarek Al Saeed, Omani minister of culture and heritage; Saud Bin Ebrahim Al Busaidi, Omani interior minister; Shaikh Turki Bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Shaikh Faisal Bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Khalifa from Bahrain, Ahmad Al Nini, Mauritanian minister of Islamic affairs, Farhad Ala'a Al Deen, representative of the Iraqi region government in Kurdistan.
Also in attendance were Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs; Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, and other Shaikhs and senior officials.
