Abu Dhabi: The Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation (KBZHF) has pledged to cover the deportation costs of 229 inmates, who served their terms at the UAE’s correctional and punitive establishments but are unable to pay for the return tickets to their countries.
The move is being coordinated with the Ministry of Interior to help the 229 inmates, who were sentenced to deportation upon serving their terms, to celebrate Eid Al Fitr with their families in their home countries.
The beneficiaries thanked the foundation for this kind act which they said will speed up their return to their homes, where they are set to start a new life as members of the community.
