Dubai: Technical snag forced a Karachi-bound Shaheen Airlines flight to make an emergency landing at Dubai International Airport 15 minutes after taking off at 7.30am on Sunday.

The flight NL 737 was expected to take off last evening. A senior official from Shaheen told Gulf News that the passengers have been provided accommodation in a hotel in Dubai.

Exhausted passengers expressed dissatisfaction on the lack of information provided to them by the airline official. They were, however, glad to have been provided with food and accommodation.

Speaking to Gulf News many passengers complained that no single official of the airline at the airport was forthcoming with information as to why the flight was diverted and the expected take off time.

A passenger who was given accommodation at a hotel located in Al Nahda said: "I am just exhausted. We were told that there was a technical fault. We tried to get further information but no one was willing to say anything," he said.
