Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) last week started disbursing 31 per cent of deposits with the United Investors Fund, said a statement issued by ADJD.

The Execution Department of ADJD continues receiving depositors who have already obtained final orders by the courts in their favour and filed their execution applications to obtain the cheques for their entitlements.

ADJD last week had decided to distribute 31 per cent of total claims in the United Investors Fund case.

According to the decision, depositors who obtained final verdicts by the court and filed execution applications with ADJD will get 31 per cent of their deposits with the United Investors Fund.

Claim

The Fund had a total of 1,665 depositors. Out of the total claims against the defendant in the case amounting to Dh531 million, Dh166 million has been collected by the court so far. This represents 31 per cent of total claims.

The Execution Department prepared well for the disbursement operations which spared depositors crowding or a long waiting time.

The Department has been careful to let all depositors know that disbursement will not be possible without obtaining an order by the court at first and then file execution application.
