Jabbar is the 'most sought after father'
Not only has he never lost a race for ten years, but 20-year-old Jabbar the camel is well known for his strong genetics and blood line, and has carried that on to hundreds of offsprings.

Abu Dhabi: Not only has he never lost a race for ten years, but 20-year-old Jabbar the camel is well known for his strong genetics and blood line, and has carried that on to hundreds of offsprings.
A two day camel auction, held at the Abu Dhabi Exhibition Centre (ADEC) under the International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition, which opened yesterday, witnessed 18 of Jabbars children out of 80 camels. Representing the fourth camel auction and horse beauty competition, Khalifa Al Nuaimi, told Gulf News that Jabbar is one of the most famous stallions in the history of the UAE camel population.
"Jabbar and his sons is a valuable asset. He hasn't lost a single race for ten consecutive years," said Al Nuaimi. He added that female camels are being auctioned at a minimum of Dh20,000 and males at Dh10,000.
The funds generated from the forth camel auction will go to subsidise breeding camels via embryo implantation.
"Camels give birth to one newborn every two years but with the embryo implantation, one camel can give birth to up to six newborns a year. In Jabbars case hundreds of babies were bred via embryo implantation and most of them win 10 kilometre races," said Dr Irfan Ahmad, the Veterinary officer at the Veterinary Research Centre and Member of the camel auction committee.
