Ras Al Khaimah: A Chinese labourer was hospitalised on Monday after he suffered a cut to his right hand at an industrial work site in the Halilah area.

A senior officer at the emirate's Civil Defense Department said that the 27-year-old labourer, identified as Z.Y., was working with machinery when the accident happened.

The company's management reported the incident to the Police Operation Room, which instructed an ambulance from the emirate's Department of Civil Defense to rush the labourer to the nearest hospital.
