Abu Dhabi The Emirates Identity Authority (Eida) has linked the ID card registration with visa medical test at a primary medical centre in Umm Al Quwain, a senior official told Gulf News on MOnday.

"We have started it on Sunday on a trial basis as part of the new strategy to link the ID card registration process with the issuance and renewal of residence visa", Dr Ali Al Khoury, Vice-Chairman, Higher Management Committee of Eida, said.

He said the unified application form has not been ready yet as it has started on a trial basis. As Gulf News reported previously, a single application for ID card, residence visa and labour card will be introduced in future when the three documents are integrated.

Residents can submit the application and fees for the three documents with a single visit to typing centres which will take care of the pre-registration process of the ID cards.
