Dubai: Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, has issued instructions to hold the Union Festival at the Global Village Dubai from Thursday until December 2, to coincide with the country’s 41st National Day celebrations.

It will be held at Global Village until December 2
The move is aimed at imprinting the rich and diversified traditions of the UAE people and its cultural development, making it a memorable festival.
He directed that the festival should be organised in a way that reflects the importance of the occasion for it is a major event in the history of the UAE since its foundation.
It will include a series of diverse celebrations from heritage and artistic performances highlighting the state’s history and the union’s foundation and its development as well as shed light on values, customs, traditions and the UAE heritage.
He also directed extension in the celebration period to 11 days in order to allow the citizens, resident expats and visitors of the Global Village to enjoy the various events which are aimed at strengthening community cohesion and supporting the cultural march of the union.
