Dubai: Google Street View cars have been spotted collecting data around Dubai.

Eagle-eyed Gulf News readers Rania Khallaf and Apaar Arora snapped the above pictures and tweeted them on Monday.

Seeing the cars around the streets of the emirate is becoming more and more common.

Dubai will soon become the first Arab city to be part of the Street View service, which offers 360 degree panoramic shots allowing an internet user to take a complete online tour of a city or country.

Images are captured by cars like the ones pictured, so watch out for them on the streets of Dubai over the coming few weeks.

Google is also considering offering Street View inside some of Dubai's malls.

You can currently take a virtual tour of the Burj Khalifa using the service.

Images from 48 different countries and 3,000 cities are currently available. It was originally launched in the US in 2007.
