Fujairah media to help set up television and radio stations in south Sudan
The Fujairah Media Company has signed an agreement with the southern Sudanese State of Central Equatoria to help establish television and radio stations and train future media talents.

Representatives from the Central Equatoria hailed the agreement as an important step in the state's effort to overcome years of civil strive.
Joseph Lasu Galle, the state's culture and media minister, said the people of southern Sudan were ready to build their country after the 2005 peace agreement with Sudan's central government.
Galle said this agreement with Fujairah Media, a joint venture between Fujairah Cultural and Media Authority (FCMA) and Arab International Media Services, will give his people a voice with which they can communicate with each other and the rest of the world.
The agreement means Fujairah Media will assist the southern Sudanese state build media institutions and produce industry-standard qualified media professionals.
The joint agreement was signed at the palace of His Highness Shaikh Hamad Bin Mohammad Al Sharqi, Ruler of Fujairah and Member of the Supreme Council, who met with delegates from Central Equatoria on Tuesday evening.
Central Equatoria, formally known as Bahr Al Jabal, is one of 26 Sudanese States and is located in the far south of the country with a population of nearly one million.
Rich in natural resources and strategically located on the borders of Sudan with Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, the local state government is keen to attract investors and is hoping to acquire a presence on the international media scene.
