Riyadh: The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has announced that Sunday, October 6, will be the first day of Dhu Al Hijja, and that the first day of Eid Al Adha will be on Tuesday, October 15.
Monday, October 14, will be Arafat Waqfa Day, and Tuesday, October 15, will be the first day of Eid Al Adha, the Saudi Court said in a statement.
"Saturday was the last day of Dhu Al Qa’da and today [Sunday] October 6, will mark the beginning of the lunar month of Dhu Al Hijja,” the Supreme Court said .
The sighting of the new moon of Dhu Al Hijja should be confirmed by two trusted witnesses.
