Dubai: The International biennial civil and military helicopter technology and operations exhibition, Dubai Helicopter Show 2012 will run from November 6-8 at Meydan.

The show will host global giants in the helicopter industry under the show’s Military, Homeland Security, Civil Defence, Air Medical and Rescue Sectors.

The Dubai Helishow 2012 will be held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and with the support of Department of Civil Aviation-Dubai.

Domus Group, Helishow official organizer, has confirmed the attendance of nearly 100 exhibitors of the multi-billion dollar industry.

The UAE Ministry of Defence, The Abu Dhabi Police Air Wing and Dubai Police Air Wing will attend to demonstrate their latest plans and programs at the show’s fifth edition.

The event will include daily conferences, workshops, and networking sessions that cater to each sector emerging challenges and needs.

Industry insiders will also focus on presenting their air medical operations and maintenance programs, pilot training programmes, helicopter transportation management protocols and aircraft technological advancements especially when applied to emergency aviation services for the purpose of saving human lives.

Another highlight of the 2012 show is international aviator, high-rise rescue worker, and rope access expert in vertical and aerial operations, Ivan Kristoff.

Known as the new Spiderman, Kristoff has dedicated his time to charitable causes in support of volunteer rescue units and initiatives.

He will also conduct a round-table workshop with around 30 experts who will exchange ideas on rescuing people from high-rise buildings.
