Dubai: Quick thinking helped Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, after his parachute cords became tangled during a recent skydiving adventure.

Caught in a tangle at 3,000 feet, Shaikh Hamdan’s passion for adventure urged him to face the challenge head on.

He disclosed in a video that his parachute cords became tangled due to strong winds, putting him in a major fix, but he kept his composure and untangled them in seconds.

The incident demonstrated Shaikh Hamdan’s ability to deal with difficult situations and make quick decisions in times of crisis.

Shaikh Hamdan said: “In such situations taking a decision can save the jumper, whereas delaying for seconds can lead to ominous results.”

He was quoted as saying: “I could have simply taken the easy solution by using the alternative parachute. I looked at the problem from the perspective of a challenge that earns skills and additional experience, so I decided to confront the problem and deal with the challenge. I began immediately handling the problem manually and was able to solve the interwoven ropes and landed safely."
