Dubai: Dubai Police honoured the winner of the Minister of Interior’s Excellence Award for the jail run and managed by the police as the best punitive establishment in the country and its Criminal Investigation Directorate as the most efficient security department in the UAE.

In a ceremony held on Thursday at Dubai police headquarters, Major General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, Acting Dubai Police Chief, handed over the Lt General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior’s Excellence Award.
A total of 88 officers and personnel working with the police received the special minister’s recognition. Dubai Rehabilitation and Correction Centre in Al Aweer was honoured for wining the Minister of Interior’s Excellence Award as the best central jail in the country.
The Airport Security Department was honoured for winning the best department in applying strategic policies. While Al Muraqbbat police station win the best in its website content and information.
The Dubai Police Criminal and Investigation Department was honoured for winning the best department.
Other police departments, officials, and staff were also honoured for winning the Minister of Interior’s Excellence Award.
The ceremony was attended by officials and staff from Dubai police.
Major General Al Mazeina urged all the police forces to keep up the good work in order to achieve the best they can.
