Dubai: Thirteen pupils of the Dubai British School joined hands to host a talent show in support of Dubai Autism Centre (DAC).

Funds raised at the show that took place on February 8 will be presented to the autism centre shortly. Organisers have not yet announced the amount collected.

All the 13 are Applied Business pupils at the Dubai British School and undertook the role of an event management team to organise the talent show at Dubai Community Theatre and Arts Centre.

Ten performances — including dancing, acting, singing, and bands — were staged at the show and were chosen after students auditioned for the event over the last two months.

Contestants won prizes including a day on a yacht, vouchers for the Mall of the Emirates and for Turning Pointe dance and music studio.

All funds raised will be donated to the DAC to support the new centre being built, organisers said in a statement.
