Dubai: Mobile subscribers of Dubai telecom service provider du have complained about being unable to receive text messages for the past three days.
A subscriber said she has been facing difficulty receiving text messages and thought it was an isolated case until a du representative told her there was an "SMS outage in some areas", without elaborating.
The outage has caused major inconvenience to those subscribers who rely heavily on text messages for communication. "I had no idea that I wasn't receiving text messages until people started asking why I was ignoring them," said another subscriber.
du representatives were out of reach when Gulf News tried to contact them for a comment.
du mobile services subscribers often complain about service disruptions, lack of network access and difficulties in placing calls.
