Dubai: An international design trade fair featuring a selection of quality brands with their products and concepts will hold a series of talks by global design leaders alongside the fair.

The second edition of the four-day fair, called Downtown Design, organised by Art Dubai Group and held under the patronage of Shaikha Latifa Bint Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice-chairman of the board of directors of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, will be held at the foot of Burj Khalifa from October 28 to October 31.

It will include a talk series named “Original Talks” held in partnership with Dubai Design District (d3), which offers brand perspectives, business insights and keynotes designed to provide valuable insights into the industry’s hottest topics and trends.

The Original Talks start at 2pm daily in the auditorium and will give delegates an opportunity to interact with some of the most influential individuals that have shaped the industry with their creativity, business acumen and unique perspectives.

Featured speakers include Mario Bellini, president of the Salone del Mobile Claudio Luti; Aric Chen, Hong Kong M+ Museum curator; Giovanna Castiglioni of Fondazione Castiglioni; and Ab Rogers, head of the Royal College of Arts in London.
