Dubai: Authorities in India have sounded an alert for an Emirati teenager who has been missing for the past five days and despite all efforts cannot be traced.

Khalid Esmail Al Hosani, 19, left the Bangalore hotel room he shared with his father on Friday morning and hasn’t been seen since.

His father, as well as authorities, have alerted all hospitals in the city.

Khalid suffers from epilepsy and was in the Indian city to receive treatment for his condition.

“Police have circulated his photograph to all police stations in the city and surrounding areas and also got it published in the local newspapers. But so far there has been no information,” his father, Esmail Al Hosani, who is in India, told Gulf News.

The photo provided to the police by the family was his passport photo.

Al Hosani has pounded the pavements in the city with his son’s photo in a bid to find him.

“I got tried as I am an old man and do not have the ability to walk for a long time, my health has got worse and I am suffering spiritually and physically,” Al Hosani of Abu Dhabi, added.

The missing young Emirati went to India with his father for treatment on September 30 and stayed in a hotel in Bangalore.
