Dubai: K9 Friends officially unveiled its new Jebel Ali premises on Saturday.
The non-profit dog rescue organisation moved into the multi-purpose facility earlier this year.
A reception held at the new shelter onday was attended by hundreds of volunteers, sponsors and suppliers, many of whom were getting their first look at the building.
The Jebel Ali shelter has 40 main kennels in four blocks of 10 and can accommodate 110 dogs. Each block has its own kitchen for food preparation.
The facility was built on land donated by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
