Abu Dhabi: Adnoc Distribution has set up 11 gas stations for selling gas and cylinders as it would begin distributing gas cylinders to the northern emirates starting on Tuesday, according to a company’s statement.
The distribution is part of the company's plan for distributing gas cylinders to Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Ajman.
"The plan for gas distribution is in its first phase, and hence work is underway to gas equipment supplying stations in Sharjah and Fujairah," the statement said.
The move is in response to the increasing demand for gas cylinders in the northern emirates and is in line with the desire of consumers to obtain gas cylinder from Adnoc, and goes together with the company's strategic plan in expanding its services and providing natural gas to all customers in the country.
Adnoc is offering gas and cylinders combined for Dh 180, as an introductory offer which will last for one month. In case of exchanging the cylinder, customers will pay Dh49 in a move to help customers.
Gas prices will be subject to changes according to global prices of gas. The company pointed out that four stations will be opened in Fujairah on Sunday, and 12 others in Sharjah on Monday.
The company is currently working on setting up 23 additional stations for the second phase of its plan in the second half of 2011.
This will bring the total number of gas selling stations to 50 by the end of this year.
The agency is tasked with drawing human resources general policies in accordance with the federal policies, approving human resources standards and specifications in accordance with international criteria and evolving plans and strategies and supervising their implementation.
