Abu Dhabi: the Follow-Up Committee of the Initiatives of the UAE President has approved a set of housing projects for citizens and the construction and completion of roads in different parts of the country.

The move comes in implementation of the directives of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the follow-up of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces,

During its meeting at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs under the chairmanship of Ahmad Juma Al Za’abi, Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Committee, the committee approved the completion and construction of internal roads in the emirate of Sharjah, which includes the implementation of 17.3km of internal roads.

The committee approved the awarding of two projects, the first being construction work of internal roads in the emirate of Umm Al Quwain and the second is to develop King Faisal Road in Umm Al Quwain. It also approved changes in the project of constructing, completing, and improving the efficiency of Shaikh Ahmad Bin Rashid Road in Umm Al Quwain.

The committee approved awarding the construction and completion of 24 houses in the regions of Adhan and Al Ghail in Ras Al Khaimah, with 12 houses for each region. Based on Shaikh Mohammad’s orders, the committee approved the construction and completion of 42km of different roads in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.

The committee also approved the award of a tender to provide engineering consulting services, including studies, design and supervision, for the construction and completion of Ajman Club for the Disabled in the emirate of Ajman, taking into account modern and contemporary design.

In addition, it approved fees and costs of establishing a sewage network and sewage pumping station for the construction of four housing units in the city of Dibba Al Hosn in Sharjah.

Al Za’abi said that the projects were in accordance with the directives of the UAE’s wise leadership, which is keen on achieving the welfare of the UAE citizens and providing a decent and secure life for them.

He commended the support extended by Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, to the committee and its projects, which are expected to be implemented on schedule.

The meeting was attended by a number of senior officials.
