Al Ain: More than 70 UAE companies and organisations will join together under the umbrella of UAE University (UAEU) to offer job opportunities to fresh Emirati graduates later this month.

The 7th Training and Employment week begins on March 24 in Al Ain and is jointly organised by UAEU, Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce, and Higher Colleges of Technology.

Ali Majid Al Maraghi, Head of the Organising Committee, said the event would also offer opportunities to participating companies to look for prospective employees. The week has become a regular annual event and has helped many Emirati graduates in the past.

Talented employees

He said the event would also assist public and private sector organisations to build lasting relations with the university and other institutions of higher education in their future hunt for qualified and talented employees.

UAEU has more than 15,000 students and around 2,000 of them graduate every year. The event will help qualified students to obtain first hand information from companies and develop career awareness.

"It would help them plan their career in accordance with labour market requirements," Al Maraghi said at a press conference held at Al Ain Hilton Hotel.
