Al Ain: More than 60 private and public organisations have come forward at Al Ain Career Fair to assist qualified Emirati graduates in their hunt for jobs, career development, and advance education opportunities.

The three-day event, opened at a celebration hall in Al Khabisi district, has been jointly organised by a local firm Smart Solution with the support of UAE University and Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) and a number of other sponsors.

"We expect thousands of students and graduates would benefit from the event," said organisers.

The fair was inaugurated by Dr Abdullah Khanbashi, vice-chancellor of the UAE University, in a ceremony also attended by a number of other senior officials.

He said companies' support would create new opportunities for qualified nationals. The UAE is focused on providing the right technical and academic training and skills to national youths and want to fulfil the market requirements through national manpower.

The fair has been designed to provide an opportunity to young nationals to interact with the exhibitors for gaining first-hand knowledge on available jobs and training opportunities, said the organisers.

"We believe that advancement and growth of a nation is achieved through the development of its people and aim to bring this belief to life at the Al Ain Career Fair," said the organisers.

The participating companies have set up display stands to provide information to the students and answer their queries.
