I'm working on a Dh4.6b project in Dubai as engineer, but I don't have any basic facilities. I've made sacrifices in my life in Malaysia and now my life is worse than what I had before, now I can't turn back anymore.

Well I love what I do, but the problem is I work with donkeys, who neither know how to work efficiently and professionally. The manager carries tales to his boss, who has no brain of his own. I like what I am doing but don't like the people I work with.

Whenever I ask for an increment, my boss says the company is running at a loss, only who knows how this leading company has been running at a loss for five years. Whenever I see the bank statements of my company its shows billion of dollars of turnover.

For working in the company I work for, you need a PhD in backstabbing. If you have a previous experience as a politician, it definitely will help as you are used to lying, giving false promises and cheating.

I have the worst job in the world. Being a teacher is a 24-hour job, and I am forced to give my phone number to parents and answer all their queries. I am also forced to work on Fridays and Saturdays (without extra pay) to sell uniforms, books etc. The salary I get is Dh2,000. We teachers are the most educated people, with PhDs, but we earn less than the average house maid.

I work as a red flag waiver! Everyday I have to sit under the sun for ten hours waiving a red flagG. You must have noticed people like me next to roadwork all around Dubai.

My X Boss was the main problem:
1. If I smile I need to justify it
2. I need his permission to switch on the lights.
3. I need his special approval to leave the office after office hours
4. He can come two hours late in morning but I can't be late for 10 minutes.
5. I can't say hi to other staff but he can
But now things have changed since he left the company. I am happy.

I work in a hotel near Khalid port in Sharjah. It's a new hotel and people working at the reception of the hotel have a particular rule. The rule states that we are not supposed to sit in our nine-hour shift. So for the next nine hours of our duty we have to stand. There are no chairs provided for us, and there are cameras that will continuously monitor us.

I am unfortunately working for one of the leading MNC in UAE. My job is a nightmare; I force myself to go to office everyday. I feel like I am going to a school instead of an office, we are treated like animals. I should have left my job long ago but because of the ban I have to bear it. I am waiting to complete one year and will resign on the same day. The best thing I enjoy doing is to go home and cross the date with red pen on the calendar.

I like finishing my part of work quickly and early, but when my supervisor sees that I am finished with my work, he forces me either to do his work or my other lazy colleague's work. I never say 'no'. Because I believe at the end of the day after working so hard and completing all the work, any person would deserve an appreciation or a nice word at least, but I never heard it in this job. In short, I love my job. It is interesting and I do it with full sincerity, but my seniors make me hate it.

I had that silly job back in North America. Dressing in unifrom and patrolling on and on, awake when everyone is asleep, a brain zero wash up job. It was career destruction, but I made my mind and flew back to UAE and got back my priviliges.

I was employed in one of the most successful companies in the Gulf. The problem was my manager who only thought of his promotions.

I work for a bank. Every morning when I wake up; the thought of going to the office really scares me a lot. We have people who are in the higher management that are uneducated, which makes matters even worse. We are made to work like slaves, although the bank has the power to hire more people but do not do so. When we give them suggestions, the only answer we get from the management is that they are always right no matter how sensible the suggestion is.
