Dubai: The Ministry of Labour has begun distributing Absher cards to Emiratis working in the private sector who are eligible for the discounts and special offer programmes.

According to Mubarak Saeed Al Daheri, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Labour, Absher cards, numbered 1 to 10, were distributed to eligible Emiratis on Sunday. Salem Al Mutawa, acting director of Absher office was present.
Al Daheri extended to the Emiratis receiving the card the greeting of Saqr Gobash, Minister of Labour. He added that Gobash is very proud of Emirati cadres working in the private sector, who are occupying high positions in their jobs.
The 10 Emiratis are a part of the first group of applicants in the discounts and special offers programmes. They extended their heartfelt thanks to President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan for launching the Absher initiative and his keenness to provide a dignified life for Emiratis. They stressed their determination to continue to excel in their jobs.
The ministry is coordinating with a delivery company to ensure that the cards are delivered to the addresses provided by the programme’s applicants.
